Sizes *Note that the hat is quite stretchy*
Child: finished size 13.5”/ 35 cm (for ages 3 - 10 years/ head circumference 16 - 18”/ 45 - 51 cm)
Teen/adult small: finished size 16”/ 40 cm (for head circumference 19 - 22”/ 49 - 55 cm)
Adult regular: finished size 18”/ 45 cm (for head circumference 21 - 23”/ 53 - 58 cm)
Adult large: finished size 20.5”/ 52 cm (for head circuference 22 - 24”/ 56 - 61 cm)
Yarn: Aran weight yarn, approximately 60 (80, 100, 120) grams/100 (130, 160, 200) yards/90 (120, 150, 185) meters, depending on size.
Gauge: 18 sts and 24 rows to 4”/10 cm in stockinette stitch; 22 sts and 32 rows to 4” /10 cm) in pattern stitch.
Needles: US 8/5.0 mm and 7/4.5 mm, or size to obtain gauge plus one size smaller.
Difficulty: Beginner
Skills: Knit, purl, and slipped stitches; working in the round; kfb and k2tog.
